Check out this new Christina Perri song entitled “Burning Gold”. The positive piano-led mid-tempo is featured on the 27-year-old singer’s much-anticipated second album “Head or Heart”. You can pre-order the album on iTunes now! “Head or Heart” was scheduled to come out on March 11th but it was recently delayed 'til April 1.
“Burning Gold” is amazing! And that chorus is giving me Adele's "Set Fire To The Rain" vibes. You don't really expect such a potent chorus to appear, hearing the slow tempo of the verses and bridge, do you? I got actually scared when the chorus kicked in. Christina caught me by surprise. The lyrics of “Burning Gold” start rather sad and melancholic but the energy changes in the chorus. Christina brings the positivity in.
Nice little piano-guitar production, Christina’s vocals are beautiful, (lyrics as well), and my favourite lyric, besides the entire chorus of course, has to be, "I wish the wind would carry a change” which later becomes “.I’m the wind that’s carrying a change”.
