New Music: Tyga - '40 Mill' (Prod. By Kanye West)
Tyga made headlines over the weekend courtesy of a few tweets he sent out about issues presumably with Young Money but the 24-year old artist looks to change the topic of conversation today with the release of a new single. Titled '40 Mill', the track features a talented production cast of Kanye West, Mike Dean, and Jess Jackson.
'40 Mill' is focused on Tyga's desire to be rich rather than famous. "I don't wanna be famous, I just wanna be rich" he repeats on the hook before opening the first verse with "fuck around, be a Lennon and a fan leave you brainless." All over some booming production provided by Kanye and his team.
Tyga's next studio LP 'The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty' was announced to have a release date of November 18th in the Summer but it's unclear whether he'll be following through on that date. Tyga wrote on twitter:
"Gold album been done. my label holding me hostage so i can't release nothing. might just leak it for my fans then let them make $ off it."
That tweet reportedly led to Tyga being unfollowed by Nicki Minaj and a response from Young Money manager Mack Maine. '40 Mill' was then released a few days later on iTunes via Tyga's own record label Last Kings. Stream the new single below.
