New Music: The Vamps - "Stolen Moments" [Full Audio / Review]

the vamps stole moments

The British boys of The Vamps released a new countdown single from their upcoming sophomore album "Wake Up", due in stores on November 27th via Virgin/EMI, in the form of "Stolen Moment" today (Nov. 4). Fans can buy the new track, which the band members co-wrote alongside Matt Prime and Wayne Hector, on iTunes or stream it endlessly on Spotify right now!

Oh my, this is a good one. The Vamps' frontman Bradley Simpson sings over a guitar-piano production about a girl who is about to break up with him ("Before we said too much / Now you can't be around me"). What will he do? He says in the chorus of "Stolen Moments" that "I'll escape with every stolen moment / That I spent with you". So basically he says that he'll be a nice loser. And instead of crying, he'll take with him all the good memories from the about-to-be-over relationship. Awww!

The melody in this one is gold, and Brad, despite his fragile vocals, did manage to carry the song with decency. A curious thing, though? I prefer the verses much more than the chorus! I just find the chorus a bit 'meh'. "Sto-o-o-o-o-o-len / M-o-o-o-o-oments". Really? Who came up with that?

Hit or Miss?
