New Music: The Killers - "Shot At The Night"
The Killers are in for the kill once again. The Brandon Flowers-led rock band will release their first "Greatest Hits" album of their career this Fall, including three brand new tracks along the way. One of them, "Shot At The Night", has been been chosen as the first single from The Killers' upcoming musical project. Listen above!
During a recent interview with NME magazine, the band exclusively played "Shot At The Night" for them, with the NME journalists later describing the track as "a cross between 'Smile Like You Mean It' and 'Miss Atomic Bomb'". Not sure I entirely agree with this statement. From their words, "Shot At The Night" sounded like it was going to be a total anthem, but having heard it in full now, it's not THAT epic. The DNA of "Shot At The Night" is very The Killers, it sounds like an 80's rock song, and the chorus is pretty good, but the thing as a whole lacks something. I like it, but I don't love it.
