New Music: Steve Aoki (ft. Linkin Park) - "Darker Than Blood" [Full Audio]
Believe it or not this is not the first time DJ Steve Aoki and rock band Linkin Park have collaborated. Back in 2013, the impossible duo linked up to record “A Light That Never Comes”, included on Chester Bennington and Co.’s 2013 “Recharged” remix album.
This brand new ‘Steve Aoki vs. Linkin Park’ song titled “Darker Than Blood” ain’t from an upcoming Linkin Park project but from the 37-year-old Miami producer’s new album “Neon Future II”, in stores on May 12 via Ultra Music/Dim Mak.
Over an uplifting EDM beat, Linkin Park’s Chester belts out a few power vocals whilst delivering an emotional message that has do about “this not being the end”, him having “scars” and that “you” are not the “only one”. What is he talking about? I have absolutely no idea but it’s some deep stuff. It’s a shame that all of Chester’s intensity gets overclouded by Steve Aoki’s commercial EDM beat. This is just not right, even though I will probably ‘lose it’ to “Darker Than Blood” anyway at a club.
