New Music: OB O'Brien & Drake - '2 On / Thotful'
Drake teams up with his OVO Sound signee OB O'Brien for a new remix to the DJ Mustard-produced '2 On'. The track originally belonged to singer-songwriter Tinashe and TDE's ScHoolboy Q but the two Canadian artists have borrowed the instrumental for their own rendition and mashup titled '2 On / Thotful'.
"You could hear it in my voice, I'm going way in. OB that my brother like a Wayans. You know I only show up if you payin" raps Drake, providing a fitting verse and catchy hook over the club friendly beat '2 On' beat.
While the first portion of the song is upbeat, the instrumental switches up halfway throughout and slows down dramatically for Drake to come in and showcase his singing ability. The 2-in-1 track was uploaded to the O'Brien's Soundcloud page in the morning hours of May 12th and comes with the download option available!
For those unfamiliar with OB O'Brien, he's Drake's longtime childhood friend who just made his debut in music earlier this year. You may remember him as the funny bearded guy in Drake's 'Started From The Bottom', 'HYFR', and 'Worst Behavior' music videos. OB also dropped a new solo track 'Hazelton Trump'.
