miranda lambert automatic

Country singer Miranda Lambert is ready to kick off a new era. Although her fifth studio album (yet-untitled) will hit US stores later in 2014, Miranda doesn't want fans to wait long time for hear the first single, that's why she's released it today! On February 5th, the official audio of the song "Automatic" was made available for free stream on VEVO and was sent to radios. Listen to the country-rock jam below!

It's so good! Written by Miranda, Nicolle Galyon and Natalie Hemby, "Automatic" is an autobriographical song about the "good life" we had back in the day when everything wasn't "automatic". Miranda reminisces about using the payphone, learning to drive a stick shift, hand-writing a letter to a friend, or going to Dallas to buy a Easter dress.

On her brand new single "Automatic", Miranda explained;

"It's a song about the good life.”, "It’s about slowing down, taking a breath and remembering what it’s like to live life a little more simply. It’s not about going back, but reminiscing about what it was like to hang laundry on the line and wait for it to dry and my dad teaching me how to drive my ’55 Chevy that I still have but don’t drive nearly enough.", "The song brings back good memories and it reminds me to take a deep breath and to remember that getting there is half the fun".
