New Music: Little Mix - "Black Magic" [Full Audio / Review]

little mix black magic cover

Little Mix’s era number 3 hasn’t gotten off on the right foot; the title of the lead single was leaked, the cover art was leaked, and yesterday the full single “Black Magic” was leaked as well, but the British four-piece female band is quickly trying to fix the course of things. Today, May 19, they officially premiered “Black Magic” on UK radio (it was pushed up as the premiere was supposed to happen next week but in view of the leak, this was a “pop emergency”), made the song available for pre-order on UK iTunes, confirmed the UK officially release date of the single for July 10, and with this lead single release date Little Mix kind of “announced” that their third studio album will come out a week later – as this is the usual way in the UK music industry. Today the girls also announced a couple of festivals they’ll be performing in this summer (go to their socials to see the dates), so see? They’re trying to make everything “positive” again and forget about the horrendous damage that the leaks have caused.

Girls, have you ever used black magic? LM want you to!

Co-written by Little Mix and Ed Drewett, “Black Magic” is an 80’s pop-inspired track, summery, with a delicious melody and a catchy chorus.

Girls have to make “Black Magic” their #1 go-to anthem if in these scenarios: 1) you have a boyfriend that’s losing interest in you in favor of more popular girls and 2) if you’re still looking for Mr. Right after a long time and think that “that boy” you’ve been laying eyes on for a while could be the one but he doesn’t pay you attention. In both scenarios, the Little Mix girls recommend you one solution: to use black magic. Simply make a potion, make him take sip, and BAM!, he’ll be yours.
