New Music: Lady Antebellum - "I Did With You" [Audio]

lady antebellum the best of me film

Check out this new song from Lady Antebellum. The country music trio have recorded this too-beautiful-to-be-true ballad called “I Did With You” for the soundtrack of upcoming romantic drama film “The Best of Me” - starring James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan and opening October 17.

“I Did With You” – written by Charles Kelley, Dave Haywood, Hillary Scott and Monty Powell – is available on iTunes starting today, September 9th. This is a must-buy for all Lady Antebellum and country music fans as this is one of the best songs the trio and country music has produced in a long time.

“I Did With You” song review

I’m speechless. The beauty of this song has left me utterly speechless. I really hope there are more songs like “I Did With You” in Lady Antebellum’s upcoming album “747” – in stores September 30th. “Bartender” was nice and cheeky (Taylor Swift’s Nathan Chapman has produced almost the entire new Lady Antebellum album), but songs like “I Did With You” take me back to the origins of the trio, and serves as reminder that this is the sound that Lady Antebellum should stick with for a long time. They can release radio-friendly songs like “Bartender” from time to time, but they excel the most in emotional country slow jams like the one you can stream below.

I remember telling you I loved you / Northern star right above you / And in a moment I thought every dream would come true”, sings Hillary Scott in the laid-back “I Did With You”. Hil and Charles’ voices haven't sounded so perfect together in a long time. I'm loving this new song so much that I think I'm going to see “The Best of Me” only because of Lady Antebellum.
