New Music: Kygo & Ella Henderson - "Here For You" [Premiere / Review]
Kygo and his unique music style of tropical house music still have much to offer.
After the immense success of “Firestone” and “Stole the Show”, both #1s in the Norway and smash hits in half of Europe, the 23-year-old Norwegian DJ is ready for more and is gearing up to release a brand new single! When is he going to announce a proper album, though? It’s time! I want to see him collaborating with Sia or Nicki Minaj ASAP!.
Kygo’s new song is called “Here For You” and features the vocals of British singer Ella Henderson, an artist who just like Kygo has already tasted the sweetness of success; in her home country she managed to score a #1 hit with her breakthrough single “Ghost” (highly recommended!)
“Here For You” will be officially released on iTunes, and premiered on radios, tomorrow (September 4th) on iTunes. Nevertheless, the full song is available for stream right now thanks to whoever obtained an early copy and decided to share it online with the rest of the world.

“Here For You” might not be as infectious, or have that ‘immediate’ factor, as “Firestone” or “Stole The Show”, but it nonetheless possesses that tropical house music touch of Kygo and if all of his previous singles have been a success, I don’t see why “Here For You” wouldn’t be one too. I mean, I might need Kygo himself or another DJ to give me a more potent, fist-pumping worthy remix of “Here For You” soon for me to lose it in the club with it, but I like the original song anyway. And come on, a song sung by the super talented Ella Henderson is impossible to not like.
“Here For You” is a tropical house music mid-tempo where Ms. Henderson sings about being there when a person that she cares for needs her.
Besides Ella’s beautiful voices, one my favorite parts of the song is her “you-hoos”. Give me goosebumps!
PS: Uh-huh, this is the song that Kygo debuted, in instrumental version, at the last Ultra Music Festival.
