New Music: Justin Bieber (ft. Kehlani) - "Future" [Premiere]
Ok this technically isn’t Justin Bieber’s song but Khalil’s but who really cares about him? The second he isn’t Justin’s friend anymore he will fall into oblivion faster than you can say “who the hell is Kehlani?”.
Trouble boy Khalil dropped this new track entitled “Future” online last night (August 15) that features superstar Justin Bieber and female up-and-comer Kehlani. And yeah, you don’t have an ear problem; Khalil doesn’t appear in this song at all. Well, he helps from time to time with a few background vocals but that’s it. How come this can be considered HIS song? Did he produce it at least? Big NO to this question too. Producers are Rex Kudo & Charlie Handsome. Then why the hell is “Future” considered his song? Oh my.
Anyhow, “Future” is a pretty nice 90s R&B-esque track, it’s very mellow, and boasts a really pleasant acoustic guitar melody. Justin Bieber as usual excels when he’s in acoustic mode – we learned that with “Journals”, and this girl named Kehlani does a pretty good job too. She has some very pretty vocals in her! For an unexpected duet, the two sound pretty great together in this ballad about wondering what the future will hold for a boy-girl couple.
