New Music: Jhene Aiko - 'Spotless Mind'

Jhene Aiko - 'Spotless Mind'

Jhene Aiko debuted 'Spotless Mind' live back in April at Coachella and today (Aug. 18th) she finally delivers the full studio version. The record can be found on the deluxe version of the California-born singer's forthcoming debut album 'Souled Out' releasing next month via Def Jam Records.

"Loving you was nice, but it's a new day, a new season / I’ve been sad inside, and he could see it, picked up your pieces" Jhene sings on the island-inspired song. 'Spotless Mind' is a smooth song from the 26-year old singer touching on having a clean slate with her signature vocals. The hook is pretty simple as she repeats 'I'm a wanderer" over and over.

Def Jam recently announced 'Souled Out' will be dropping in stores on September 9th. The standard edition of the album will contain 12 tracks and features from Common, Cocaine 80s, and Jhene's daughter Namiko. The deluxe edition will include two extras tracks and two more extra tracks if you buy it at Target.

Look for 'Spotless Mind' to hit iTunes at midnight and stream the new record below.
