Talented Jess Glynne keeps on premiering new tracks from her forthcoming much-anticipated (at least by me) debut album, which has the most amazing title, “I Cry When I Laugh”, out in stores around planet Earth on August 14th via Atlantic Records/Warner. The release of “I Cry When I Laugh” will be preceded by multiple number 1s obtained Ms. Glynne, including hit singles from the album as well as hit singles from collaborations with other artists (e.g Clean Bandit’s “Rather Be” or Tinie Tempah’s “Not Letting Go”).

Jess Glynne is currently on a success roll, and nobody can stop her. The UK is loving her, Europe is loving her and you can bet the US will start loving her soon too.

While we await the release of the bound-to-be-flawless “I Cry When I Laugh” album, Jess Glynne is keeping our hunger in check by, from time to time, premiering new album tracks on random websites. Today, July 30th, she chose Wonderland Magazine’s site to be the outlet for the premiere of her ballad “Why Me”, track number #9 on “I Cry When I Laugh”.

The stellar number sees Jess Glynne serving divine vocals over a pulsating bass beat and slow paced percussion. The icing on the cake will be the gospel-ish moment at the end of the song. Oh, and by the way, even though Jess kind of makes “Why Me” sound uplifting, the track is all about a dark feeling of oppression. Only QUEEN Jess Glynne can play with our minds like that!

Hit or Miss?
