New Music: Jason Mraz - 'The Freedom Song'

This ain't a dream, it's truly here! At last, mark March 13, 2012 on your calendars, Jason Mraz fans, cause today the uber-talented American singer-songwriter released on iTunes the 'studio' edit of his cover of the Luc and the Lovingtons track 'The Freedom Song'. Go get it NOW for only $1.29! As you all may know, this song was created years ago, and has been performed live many times (watch video below). 'The Freedom Song' was born in the 'midst of disaster', you may say. It was written by Luc and the Lovingtons during Hurricane Katrina recovery efforts, so yeah, it's pretty old.

The 'emotional' record eventually caught Jason Mraz' attention and he's been playing it at every gig possible, and most of the times in support of charity acts. He's now decided to include his stunning cover of 'The Freedom Song' on his upcoming album "Love Is a Four Letter Word", and therefore we can now enjoy a proper studio version of the track. Listen above! I LOVE it. The lyrics are so real, Jason sings it incredibly, and the whole instrumentation was ace. 'The Freedom Song' is apparently Jason's new *official* single so big YEY!, the song's gonna get proper mainstream exposure now.
