New Music: Jason Derulo - "Want To Want Me" [Full Audio / Review]

jason derulo want to want me cover

It looks like Jason Derulo’s fourth studio album will be released this summer of 2015. There’s no other explanation for the new single he’s world premiered via iHeartRadio today (March 9) titled “Want To Want Me". This has to be JD's lead single from his fourth album (and follow-up to "Tattoos/Talk Dirty"). He is back then! (only four months after ending to promote the last "Talk Dirty" single "Trumpets").

“Want To Want Me" was written by Jason Derulo, Lindy Robbins, Mitch Allan, Ian Kirkpatrick and Sam Martin, and it is said it was inspired “in some way” by Jason’s already-dead relationship with Jordin Sparks.

The new single was premiered in the morning of March 9 on iHeartRadio’s website and at 9 a.m (ET) sharp the feel-good pop song was played by several Top 40 radios on both USA coasts. No doubt this radio deal Warner Bros. has secured for Jason will make “Want To Want Me" a quick hit. Jason Derulo’s new single may be out on radio already but fans have to wait till March 17 to get on iTunes. Why!!!?

Review: Hate it or love it, Jason Derulo knows how to make catchy radio-friendly songs and "Want to Want Me" ain't no exception. The chorus, the verses, the falsetto (my god the falsetto), and the upbeat retro dance/funk, it all makes one magical combination worthy of chart success. Also, Maroon 5 too much? Just for a quick moment I thought I was hearing Adam Levine belting out a Maroon 5, lol, then I remembered it was Jason.

Hit or Miss?
