New Music: Florida Georgia Line - "Sun Daze" [Premiere]

florida georgia line arms

So sad summer is about to end! Florida Georgia Line's new song "Sun Daze" was born to be released in the summertime and you’ll understand why once you stream it below and get your “feel-good” mode on thanks to its breezy and tropical vibe.

"Sun Daze" is the first iTunes countdown single (available now) from the country duo's upcoming album "Anything Goes" (in stores October 14 via Republic Nashville) and it's also rumoured to be the official second single (and follow-up to the smash hit “Dirt”). Why is it ‘rumoured’? Because in a recent interview Florida Georgia Line revealed they have prepared a ‘toned-down’ version of "Sun Daze" for country radio. FGL’s Tyler Hubbard and Brian Kelley sing about getting ‘stoned’ in the "Sun Daze" lyrics and that isn’t a topic country radio likes to put on its airplay. Anyway, why would you prepare a “radio edit” if you're not planning to release your song as official single, right? Also, Florida Georgia Line shot a music video a few days ago in Nashville and there’s a possibility it was the "Sun Daze" music video.

"Sun Daze" song review

All I wanna do today is wear my favorite shades and get stoned / Work a little less, play a little more / That's what this day is for”, sing the Florida Georgia Line members in the chorus of the super-laidback "Sun Daze". Is it or is it not "Sun Daze" a song for the summertime? I told you! Oh boy, I think I just found my new country addiction. "Sun Daze" sounds like a monster country hit to me - of course once Florida Georgia Line come up with the correct radio edit.

The lyrics about just ‘chillin’’ and getting ‘stoned’ and 'do nothing' combined with that feel-good ‘country meets the Caribbean’ production make a perfect match.
