The country music duo caught fans by surprise this
July 8th morning when they release on iTunes a new song called ‘Dirt’, which is
100% confirmed to be the lead single from their forthcoming, yet-untitled
second studio album, due in stores via Republic Nashville I would bet before
the summer ends.
‘Dirt’ is a 100% country music. No rap nor rappers in it. Good, right? It's going to be tough for Florida Georgia Line to match the success they achieved with their debut album and ALL the singles that came out of it. But I’m confident they are up for the challenge! Their first move? Leaving all the rap and pop music paraphernalia to the side, and just focus on delivering good pure country music.
"Dirt" is a laidback track about a pretty girl and corn fields. This girl may be living the good life in the city these days, but she'll never forget her origins in the country side where she used to get mud on her boots and get dirt on her clothes.
