His “Paula” album was the biggest flop ever last year, and he just had to pay millions to the Marvin Gaye estate for sampling his music without permission on “Blurred Lines”, but it looks like there’s light at the end of the tunnel for Robin Thicke. There’s no word he’s working on a new album yet – after “Paula” I’d take a long while to release music of my own – but Mr. Thicke is doing some damage control by collaborating with an artist who doesn’t know the term “failure”; rapper Flo Rida. The hit rapper is going to drop in just a week (April 7) a new EP titled “My House” and one of the tracks is a duet with Robin Thicke called “I Don’t Like It, I Love It”.

New single, y'all?

Although I don’t “love it”, I like it, and I WOULD release this as an official single. It is no “GDFR” obviously but it’s got that groovy, nice feeling, and it’s so radio-friendly and it screams Spring. If I were Robin I’d be praying Atlantic/Warner pick this as the “GDFR” follow-up single because it wouldn’t only help Robin fix his severely damaged image, and if “I Don’t Like It, I Love It” becomes a hit then that image fixing process would speed up so much that he could release a new single late this year. But if not, then he will have to remain in isolation for at least one more year. Seriously, that “Paula” flop was just so embarrassing.

Best thing about Flo Rida’s groovy love pop-rap song “I Don’t Like It, I Love It”? Undoubtedly that sexy whisper that is heard in the chorus. Love it!
