New Music: Enrique Iglesias (feat. Kylie Minogue) - "Beautiful" [Full Audio + Review]
Enrique Iglesias allowed Graham Norton's BBC Radio 2 show to premiere this morning (February 15th) a new track from his upcoming tenth album "Sex + Love" which will be released in stores on March 18th. The new music is a duet with Kylie Minogue entitled "Beautiful", and according to Graham the heavily auto-tuned record will also appear on the Australia diva's "Kiss Me Once" LP.
Holy auto-tune! Hearing the radio premiere, I thought "Beautiful" was cute, but the more and more I listen to it, I get "meh..." feelings. Why so much auto-tune? Enrique has completely screwed up his first collaboration with the ever-flawless Kylie Minogue. Aside from all the auto-tune, the song is quite dull too. "Beautiful" just isn't a beautiful ballad. There's nothing exciting about it. There's nothing exciting that will make it last in time. This can only be an "album track", nothing more unfortunately. I was actually expecting Enrique to ask Kylie to record something as exciting as her hit collaboration with Robbie Williams, "Kids". The one time I was rooting for Enrique to stick with his EDM beats, he comes with this dull slow song. Oh, the irony. I wanted...RedOne, Enrique and Kylie!
