New Music: Ella Henderson - "Missed" [Premiere / Studio Version]
Ella Henderson will be releasing her debut album "Chapter One" in just one month - on September 19th - in the UK via Simon Cowell's label Syco, but that ain't stopping the 'X Factor UK' 2012 finalist from releasing new music from that first album of hers to keep fans' appetite in check. Via the Shazam app, Ella premiered a song from "Chapter One" that may sound familiar to you. It's called "Missed", and yes, it's the original song sweet Ella performed during her "X Factor" audition two years ago when she was only 16.
At her audition, Ella only performed a few seconds of "Missed". But the chorus of the song was enough for the 10 million viewers of the UK edition of the talent show to fall in love with her and ultimately made her a finalist on the 2012 edition - which James Arthur won. Now finally we have the full version and the full lyrics of "Missed".
The ballad is about heart-break. "Oh no, I won't let you bring me down / Your tried to hurt my feelings / You stopped me dreaming / But here I draw the line", belts out Ella in "Missed". Ella is saying she's finally standing her own ground and won't let anybody hurt her anymore. She is going to fight back.
