ed sheeran everything you are

Don’t” is the newest single from Ed Sheeran's latest album “X” and in the UK the Ellie Goulding-inspired song " will be specially released this Sunday, August 24th in an EP format on iTunes. The “Don’t” EP will include four tracks; the original edit of “Don’t”, a remix version featuring rapper Rick Ross, a live version of Ed’s cover of Nina Simone “Be My Husband", and a totally unheard new song called “Everything You Are". The latter is what you can hear at the bottom of this page.

Everything You Are" song review

Ginger-haired Ed Sheeran just can’t make bad records. “Everything You Are" is great. Not a single flaw I can find in the guitar-driven mid-tempo ballad. It's very Ed Sheeran narrative style, guitar-driven, and it has a chorus that will leave you speechless at how amazing Ed’s song-writing is. The talent he has for bringing his life experiences into well-written songs is just to die for.

In “Everything You Are", Ed sings about attempting to return with an ex he hurt ("I didn't mean to break your heart / I was just lonely / And everybody falls apart sometimes"). Although, he smashes his face to the wall when he realizes the girl already has a new man on his life. Although Sheeran promises to stop trying to get his ex back he can’t let go of the feeling that she is the one. You can really connect with Ed's pain and struggle in the song.
