New Music: Chris Brown – ‘X’
Chris Brown promised a new single today and delivers on his word with the release of ‘X’. ‘X’ is the title track from his forthcoming long awaited sixth studio album dropping next month. Chris uploaded the new record onto his Soundcloud page in the morning hours on Friday (Aug. 22nd) .
’X’ starts off with the regular R&B sound you would expect from Chris and then builds up into an EDM drop. The single is the first one he’s dropped from the album in some time that hasn’t had a feature. ‘New Flame’, ‘Loyal’, and ‘Love More’ all starred guest artists alongside Chris and ‘X’ is just solely him and his vocals talents. The 25-year old artist reflects on past relationships and sings “I swear to God I’m moving On”, which at that point is right when the beat drop comes in. Production on the track is handled by Diplo.
’X’ (the album) is set to hit stores on September 16th. The anticipated project is rumored to feature artists like Kendrick Lamar, Brandy, Nicki Minaj, Usher, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Ariana Grande, and more.
