Big Sean’s “Dark Sky Paradise" album is shaping up to be 'SUPERIOR' stuff.
The Detroit will be putting his third studio album out on February 24 but today he released a new buzz single in the form of “Win Some Lose Some”. The track – which features uncredited vocals by Jhené Aiko - is available as of now for individual purchase on iTunes but can also be entirely streamed via VEVO.
“Win Some Lose Some” is a mid-tempo hip-hop track where Big Sean reflects on the price of fame. He may have won loads of money and be living a good life but he has lost the friendship of many. “Got it right with your ends, but fucked it up with your friends”, raps Ariana Grande's boyfriend in his first verse. He also slams his management a bit and kind of blames them for some of his personal issues: "So when its time to travel management say I only need to listenin' to them when I'm the one that makes the rules”. Ouch! Is someone's job on the tightrope?
As you will be able to appreciate, there’s some female ad-libs in the hook of “Win Some Lose Some” and the popular opinion is that it is Jhené Aiko but now there’s some other people saying it’s Tinashe. You be the judge! (I say Jhené!)
