Music Video Review: Liam Payne - "Strip That Down" / PREMIERE
What in Bjork’s name is this? Are they sure they uploaded the correct version? This is not the music video we were promised in the beginning! Remember the days when Liam was teasing the release of his new single “Strip That Down” on social media a couple of weeks ago and we could see teasers of the alleged music video where we could see Liam showing skin and him doing some kind of cool and swag-filled dance moves? Well, that’s gone! That wasn’t part of the official music video in the end. The “official” music video was just premiered on VEVO and there’s NOTHING from those awesome teasers we saw a couple of weeks ago. No Liam abs, no Liam torso, no Liam nothing! Very disappointed!

What was that?
Did Liam see Zayn and Harry’s music videos for their respective debut solo singles? Did he? Because I don’t think he did. How could you see those music videos and then dare to shoot something so basic for your own debut single, right?
The “official” music video above sees Liam doing some weird “I don’t know how to dance in the club” dance moves, hanging out with Quavo showing virtually no chemistry with him and just letting the back-up dancers, the colorful backdrops, and the flashing lights steal away the whole music video show. The only decent part of the “Strip That Down” music video was Liam’s close-up shot. His face stunning so at least that was OK to watch. But the rest? WHERE WAS THE STRIPPING!? Pointless music video. So upset.
I’ll still try to support the single, because I honestly like the song, but this basic music video has made me a lot angry.
