Meghan Trainor treated us last night, May 2, with a snippet of a new song of hers called "Kindly Calm Me Down". This is a heartfelt, epic-sounding ballad that will appear on the "NO" star's upcoming second studio album "Thank You" that will arrive in stores on May 13. "#KINDLYCALMMEDOWN #THANKYOU out soon", wrote Meghan in the accompanying message on Instagram, where the snippet was first shared.
Does that "out soon" mean that "Kindly Calm Me Down" will be the next countdown single from the album or is she referring to how close the release date of her new album is? I guess we'll get our answer this Friday!
"If I lay in pain, by my side would you stay?", sings Meghan in a moving manner in the chorus. Will I be able to hear this song in full without crying like a baby? I hope! Because "Kindly Calm Me Down" sounds like it's going to be a very touching song - a song about seeking someone to lean on in the bad times.
