Meghan Trainor Premieres New Song "Title" In Full: Listen Now!
If Meghan Trainor gave gossip site Perezhilton.com the exclusive world premiere of my new obsession “Dear Future Husband” last night, the bubbly 20-year-old has given MTV.com the premiere today (September 5th) of another track from her upcoming debut EP “Title” – coming out on iTunes on September 9th – and it’s the title track!!
She actually shared with us a snippet of this song the same day she revealed the artwork of the EP last week.

I’m just obsessed with the lyrics of this girl! She pens fantastic pop songs. In the impossible scenario her career as a recording artist fails, she still would earn a lot of cash thanks to her song-writing skills. SO, the title track "Title". It's another brilliant very Meghan Trainor song. Don't like it as much as "Dear Future Husband" (which has to be Meghan's next single or else I'll have to chop L.A Reid's hand right off), but it's a great song nonetheless. If "Dear Future Husband" is a 10 for me, “Title” is an 8, so you get my “don't like it as much" comment better.
In “Title” (the song), Meghan warns her boyfriend (or the man she's dating) that he needs to stop using the word "FRIEND" when he refers to her. They've been going out for a long time, and she's had it. She's more than just a “friend”, she’s his girlfriend. The boy has a problem! Maybe he's embarrassed by Meghan? Or what’s his issue? Are his friends’ girlfriends hotter than Meghan? This boy is a fool. Don’t play with sweet Meghan like that! Anyway, she’s giving him an ultimatum. “Give me that “title” (aka. girlfriend) or I’m out!". The beat of the song is super sassy, and fun just like all of the Meghan Trainor songs we've heard so far.
