Meghan Trainor Performs New Single "Lips Are Moving" For The First Time on "TODAY"
Meghan Trainor paid “The Today Show” a visit on Monday morning (Nov. 3) to perform for the first time ever her brand new single “Lips Are Moving”. The “All About That Bass”-esque song has been chosen as the official follow-up to Meghan’s monster breakthrough single and as the second single from her upcoming debut LP “Title” – in stores on December 2.
The song is definitely cute but I don’t think it manages to translate that well in a live performance. Watch Meghan rocking the “Today” stage in the video below and you’ll definitely notice that there was something lacking. Maybe a better choreography? Back-up singers? A better stage? This was the first time she performed “Lips Are Moving” live so Meghan is forgiven – for now. She better step it up for the next performances! This morning she performed her new single looking sassy in a lace red dress.
How is “Lips Are Moving” performing on the charts and radio? The new Meghan Trainor single recently entered the Hot 100 at #93 and pop radio is already giving it a few spins. Overall, the reaction has been positive but I still think Epic should’ve gone for something less “All About That Bass"-esque for the second single. I think “Title” would’ve been a better choice - tt shows Meghan's fab soca sound.
