Mariah Carey Breaks Silence On NYE Disastrous “Performance”: Blames “Foilers” & Announces Social Media Hiatus

I'm sure I don't need to remind you about Mariah Carey's disastrous NYE medley in the middle of Times Square from a few days ago; you probably still can't get that epicly embarrassing moment off from your head. However, what I do need to tell you is that the LAMB mom has FINALLY broken her silence on the much-talked-about incident (that "shit happens" tweet from the day after didn't really count as "breaking your silence") - and that's 8 whole days after the NYE "performance" took place. Did she hold a press conference or release a lengthy written statement? NO. Queen doesn't have time for that. She cast closure on the issue with a 1 minute and 40 seconds-long audio video uploaded on her social media accounts last night. Hear below:

Mimi starts the audio video by saying that she acknowledged she hadn't addressed the NYE drama situation yet, but that she was planning to do it in due time. Yet, in the following seconds she will contradict herself (lucky for us) and she WILL ADDRESS the controversy. What she will say is that basically the production team behind the ABC NYE show, whom she calls "the foilers", intentionally did her wrong with her in-ear monitor to capitalize on her embarrassment and increase their show ratings. There you go! Queen Mariah will end this audio message for her fans by announcing that she will be take a break from social media because at this time she just needs to "take a moment" for herself and for her family.
