[Interview] Madonna Talks Superbowl, M.I.A's Bird-Flip & Announces Second 'MDNA' Single!

Madonna Talks Superbowl, M.I.A's Bird-Flip

Queen of pop Madonna called in the Ryan Seacreast radio show this morning (February 10th) to give her first post-Superbowl interview - The American Idol host first asked the 53-year-old music legend about the feelings she experienced during her epic halftime performance, with Madonna saying that the most stressful moments were "when my throne docked on the stage…then getting my cartwheels on the bleachers right. Once I got past those two moments I knew I was sailing home.", and that when she was performing her classic 'Like a Prayer' with Cee-Lo, "I was overwhelmed. I started crying. I felt an incredible sense of warmth, love, and support. To see an entire stadium light up like candles it was…like a religious experience.". I'm with her, the 'Like a Prayer' ending was the best part.

Ryan Secreast also HAD to ask Madonna about the hot topic of that Superbowl halftime, which unfortunately wasn't her high-energy, killer performance, but British star M.I.A raising the middle finger during the "Give Me All Your Luvin'" rendition. And yes, Madonna was NOT happy about it. "I was really surprised. I didn’t know anything about it. I wasn’t happy about it. I understand it’s punk rock and everything, but to me there was such a feeling of love and good energy, and positivity it seemed negative. It’s such a teenager…irrelevant thing to do…there was such a feeling of love and unity there what was the point? It was just out of place.". Ouch! So M.I.A will not be performing on any American TV stage soon, nor will be making another duet with Madonna in the rest of her life.

Also, when Ryan was asking Madonna about her upcoming world tour and that if she was planning to bring with her some of the Superbowl 'gladiators' along, she innocently spilled the beans on the second 'MDNA' single, which will be the Benny Benassi-produced "Girls Gone Wild". "Oh god no! I don’t want to repeat myself [the gladiators]. I never do that! I am having auditions all next week. Then I’m going to shoot the video for ‘Girls Gone Wild’ after that, then I start rehearsals". So there you have it! Oh, and she also slammed the rumours saying "Girls Gone Wild" could be a Britney Spears duet. Listen to the entire Madonna interview on Ryan Secreast's radio show below.
