Madison Beer - 'Unbreakable' [Music Video]

madison beer unbreakable video

Justin Bieber’s protegée Madison Beer has a new single for us. The 14-year-old singer that released her cute breakthrough single ‘Melodies’ last year sounds and looks more mature in her new single ‘Unbreakable’ and in its accompanying music video. If last year she looked like a regular 14-year-old with the hunger to become a pop star, today, Madison Beer looks like she’s 18 already, looking and feeling really mature. ‘Melodies' was a pure-pop song, and her new single 'Unbreakable' is a synth-pop. It looks like Island Records hasn't figured out yet the 'sound' for Madison. 'Melodies' flopped last year, and they don't want to happen this year, hence the slight change in her sound.

The song was premiered in full today, June 17, via the music video premiere on VEVO. Including scenes of teenagers that are needing a positive ‘push’ in life, a happy Madison Beer belts out the inspiring lyrics of her new song ‘Unbreakable’ as she walks across the countryside making her song an them for those with low self-esteem.

The song is really cute, very Hollywood Records, aka. Disney, but it’s definitely not something with the potential to rule the charts. Madison needs a hit a la Carly Rae Jepsen’s ‘Call Me Maybe’. A really clever pure-pop song. She just won’t succeed with this sound, nor with the week pure-pop of 'Melodies'. But if this is her style, then you should think of singing to Disney, get her own TV series, and launch her pop career from there.

What do you think of the song/video?
