Little Mix Release New Songs "Weird People" + "Lightning": Listen
Two new Little Mix tracks, “Weird People” and “Lightning”, were released today (Oct. 15). These are the latest “countdown singles” from the British girl band’s upcoming third studio album “Get Weird”, due in stores in the UK on November 6th. Both tracks can be purchased right now on iTunes or alternatively can be streamed via Spotify below.
“Weird People” is an upbeat disco-influenced track that is destined to be every person that just loves to kill it on the dancefloor like maniac’s new anthem while “Lightning” is a soaring pop ballad where the Little Mix girls just show off their incredible vocals. Although “Lightning” is really “wow” in the sense it’s just amazing to hear how much these girls’ vocals have improved in the last couple of years, I must say I find the ballad a bit…let’s say…”reductive” (shout out to Madonna). It’s nothing really groundbreaking, but it’s OK as an album track. “Weird People”, meanwhile, it’s really fun. Should this have been the second single from “Get Weird” instead of “Love Me Like You”? OMG, maybe!
