Listen to Hunter Hayes' Country/Pop New Single "21" (Premiere)

hunter hayes 21 cover

Hunter Hayes is back! Just one year after releasing his second album “Storyline”, the young country singer returns to the scene with the follow-up album that he plans to drop through Atlantic Nashville later this summer.

The first single from album #3 is the Dallas Davidson-written uplifting song “21” (below you can check out too the Dallas’ demo of “21” that leaked in 2013!). The single premiered via iHeartRadio today (May 21). This was like the most perfect day of the month to unveil the single, huh? Clever Hunter!

If it wasn’t for Hunter’s southern accent, I would be asking; “why are you changing your style to pop man?”. For “21” sounds like a legit pop song. Just picture, let’s say…One Direction singing this and you’ll know what I mean.

“21” is a new youth anthem, it’s upbeat and lively, it will put you in a good mood right away, and overall I think it’s a great first single choice and definitely dropping it in the summer was the most intelligent move. Country music fans will appreciate a song like this more while in this hot season where festivals, drinks an good times are at all corners.

The song’s theme is pretty easy to figure out. Hunter and his girlfriend have already passed the 21 age but even though they may look older physically their spirits are still young and for that they are going to party and do crazy just like the day they turned the magical age of 21.

Hit or Miss?
