Listen: Kendrick Lamar Freestyles Over Taylor Swift’s ‘Shake It Off’
Continuing his early November media tour, Kendrick Lamar visited Dallas-based radio station K104. During the stop, the radio hosts challenged Kendrick to freestyle over Taylor Swift's hit single 'Shake It Off', which is not a unfamiliar track to the TDE artist as he was spotted singing the hook in a interview earlier in the week.
Kendrick was given a couple of topics to freestyle about, with one of them being "white girls." It's not often you get to hear him rap on a pop track such as 'Shake It Off' but K-Dot certainly does the Max Martin-produced instrumental justice. At the end, he adds in: "That's the first time ever..that's way outta the genre, so it's a challenge."
The love between Kendrick Lamar and Taylor Swift goes both ways. Taylor celebrated her fifth solo album '1989' going platinum first week by lyp-syncing Kendrick's 'Backseat Freestyle', which can be seen on Instagram.
