British vocal powerhouse Leona Lewis delivered the first televised performance of her new single "Collide" on ITV 1's new gameshow 'Red or Black?' on Saturday night - LeLew was reportedly given a £100,000 budget by her record label to spend however she wanted on her 'Red or Black?' performance. What did Leona bring on stage? Loads of dancers who did stop opening and closing their briefcases, trapezists, clever lights effects, a huge red heart, and a 'electrifying' screen montage. Was that all worth £100,000? I have my doubts...Anyhow, just focusing on Leona's performance, she started really cold but as the song progressed she she felt more comfortable 'til she killed it with the last vocals from the bridge onwards. Her new single "Collide" is released today, September 4th, in the UK. Best of luck to her.
In releated news, The X Factor UK champ performed a mini-concert at London's G-A-Y nightclub later on Saturday. The setlist included her debut hit "Bleeding Love", a cover of the classic "Sweet Dreams", the new single "Collide" and the first listen of the new track "Glassheart". Wish people would shut up so we could understand the lyrics! Grrr...The new track sounds decent...looking foward to hear it in HQ.
