Lana del Rey - 'Off To The Races' (Viral Video)
Let's start by praising how good this new Lana del Rey song called 'Off To The Races' is! She's a fantastic songwriter, like a modern version of Nancy Sinatra, she's got a unique voice, and her songs, the ones thus far, are simply memorable. Lana del Rey is tipped for great things in 2012, once her debut album "Born to Die" gets released in the last week of January. Focusing on 'Off To The Races', the song is like a short film's plot told by Lana del Rey. It's 5-minutes long, and with all unrepeated lyrics, well maybe just a couple in the hook. It's amazing! 'Off To The Races' won't be Lana's next single though, 'Blue Jeans' will be, but no doubt at some point this era 'Off To The Races' will have its time.
As for the VIRAL video, Lana uploaded it last night (Dec. 21) on her YouTube page. In it, she's basically showing off her Windows Movie Maker skills putting together shootout scenes from random 60s and 70s films, trying to fit the lyrics the best she can I guess, lol. This video is kind of hilarious, with loads of GIF moments for y'all. How many dudes are killed though? I lost count! Can't wait for the official video now...
