Lady Gaga, Rita Ora, Adam Levine & More Perform at 2015 Oscars (Videos)
The 87th Academy Awards (aka. The Oscars) were held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles on Sunday, February 22nd and they saw live performances by the likes of: Lady Gaga, Adam Levine, Rita Ora, among others.
Usually at the Oscars only the songs nominated in the "Best Original Song" category get to be performed. However, at last night 87th edition, this tradition was broken. Lady Gaga performed a medley of songs from “The Sound of Music” soundtrack in honor of the film’s 50th anniversary and Jennifer Hudson performed the "Smash” song “I Can’t Let Go" during the "In Memoriam" tribute.
Then there were there ‘regular’ performances, that is, that of the nominees. Adam Levine of Maroon 5 performed “Lost Stars” from “Begin Again”, Rita Ora performed the Dianne Warren-written ballad “Grateful” from “Beyond the Lights”, and John Legend and Common performed “Glory” from the “Selma” soundtrack.
The general feeling was that Lady Gaga was the best performer of the night. Biotch sang her ass off and got everyone to give her a long standing ovation.
