La Roux - In For The Kill (Music Video!) (NEW)
English electro-pop duo La Roux have premiered worldwide today via Myspace the brand new music video for the US release of "In For The Kill" - The new clip was directed by LEGS (Goldfrapp's "Alive") - IFTK will be sent to American radios in the coming weeks, with which La Roux hope to match the success of their hit single "Bulletproof" which peaked at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart. On the new visuals, "the video was shot at the historic and legendary Hotel Chelsea in NYC made famous by the eclectic and artistic musicians who have made it their home in the past, these include Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, Dylan Thomas and Sid Vicious, amongst others. The video is a dark and lusciously rich view into the hotel's seedy underbelly through the eyes of La Roux's Elly Jackson who finds herself acting the part of night porter"
I like it! Sooooo much better than the boring Kinga Burza-directed original one. I mean, the only thing we saw there was Elly singing the song while driving a Toyota MR2...that's it. "In For The Kill" is such an amazing song and I hope America will recognize that. I'm rooting for another Top 10 hit for La Roux! BTW, the electro-pop duo are set to embark on a US headlining tour this fall sharing stage (on select dates) with label-mates and new hit band Far East Movement *Like A G6!*
