Kylie Minogue Continues Serving Country With New Single “Stop Me From Falling”: Listen Now
Just a month before her new album “Golden” hits stores, Kylie Minogue gives us the album’s official second single, “Stop Me From Falling”. The “Dancing” follow-up premiered this morning on some show on BBC Radio 2 and minutes later the Australian diva released it worldwide via the usual streaming/digital platforms. Rumor has it Kylie’s already shot a music video for “Stop Me From Falling” and that that could be dropping any day now (definitely before April 6, which is when the “Golden” LP is released).
“Stop Me From Falling” is another cute, upbeat country-ish song - but do I love it more than “Dancing”? Hmmmm…. I’m not sure yet. I know I don’t hate it, and that’s always good. But I just don’t know if I really fully love this “country” era Kylie is serving this year. I kind of was able to bear it with “Dancing” - it was really a fun, dancey song - but I thought the country moment was going to be just one of the many sounds we were going to get in “Golden”, but having heard “Stop Me From Falling” it’s become evident this country theme will be spread all throughout the new Kylie album and I’m…mmm… not that thrilled. I like “Stop Me From Falling” but I’m just not too excited about it at the same time. Do you know what I mean? Let’s just hope the music video is a showstopper and it gives me a little bit more excitement.
