Kylie Minogue & 74-Year-Old Giorgio Moroder Debut "Right Here, Right Now" Live at Concert in Perth: Video
Kylie Minogue kicked off the Australian leg of her “Kiss Me Once” world tour last night (March 14) in the city of Perth and there she treated her thousands of Aussie fans packing the Perth Arena with the debut live performance of “Right Here, Right Now”, the first single from legendary Italian DJ Giorgio Moroder’s upcoming first album in 30 years due in stores later this year via RCA (it will be filled with upbeat collaborations with tons of other A-list pop singers such as Britney, Charli XCX, Sia and more so stay tuned for its release). Watch 46-year-old Kylie serving flawless vocals below:
“Right Here, Right Now” is by far one of the greatest Kylie songs I've heard in a long time. So thank you Mr. Moroder for making this collaboration happen.
As for the performance, I don’t know why it’s happening just now and why it’s taking place at a concert. “Right Here, Right Now” was released in January, Kylie’s European tour leg finished in November and she’s had practically 3 months of a break to do anything she pleased, so why didn’t Giorgio and RCA scheduled the first live performance of the flawless “Right Here, Right Now” to occur at some US late-night show? They had the time! Now Kylie is busy again and I doubt she'll be able to fly to America any time soon.
In any case, we have at least a live performance now. Giorgio Moroder flew to Perth to accompany Kylie in this historic moment. While he did his thing with the turntables, Kylie served ethereal live vocals, and delicate dance moves around the stage.
It was a good performance but I just couldn’t help to crack up every time74-year-old Giorgio tried to "hype up" the crowd and follow the thumping beat of “Right Here, Right Now” with his hands. I know. I’m terrible.
