Kings of Leon Perform 'Radioactive' on Letterman & Christina Aguilera Performs in Las Vegas!
Kings of Leon performed their newest single "Radioactive" on The Late Show with David Letterman on Monday. The rock band from Tennessee released last week their fifth album "Come Around Sundown" in America. According to Hits Daily Double, the 13-song LP would have sold between 175k - 185k copies when the official chart is updated later today. Not bad! The guys will atleast secure a #2 debut. For instace, in the UK - where they have a huge fan base - this album debuted at #1 selling 183,000 units in its first week, the biggest first week sales of 2010 in the UK so far! Impressive. As for "Radioactive", the single has only peaked at #37 on the Billboard Hot 100 and with some more promotion I think they can break into the Top 20 but that's it. The song isn't that exciting IMO. However, the 'Letterman' performance was GREAT. I'd like to go to one of their concerts one day, I'm sure they give dope gigs. Kings of Leon are coming to Madrid this December so hopefully I'll see them then.
After the all drama surrounding her divorce from hubby Jordan Bratman, pop star Christina Aguilera appeared on Justin Timberlake & Friends' benefit concert held at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino's Theatre For The Performing Arts in Las Vegas over the weekend. Photos from the event were quickly released to the internet but we were waiting for the HQ videos. And here it is! This was one of the songs Ms Aguilera performed on Saturday which also included some classics from her back catalogue. LOVED IT! She looked fierce and delivered some hot vocals. "Not Myself Tonight" is such a great tune to perform live, the energy is incredible. A complete different story was its performance on the charts in the US lol. Super flop. In related news, Christina has big things ahead, the release of her new film "Burlesque" in theaters on November 24th and she has also scored the first single from the soundtrack entitled "Beautiful People" which she will perform at this year's American Music Awards.
