Kelly Clarkson Ridicules Rihanna By SLAYING “Better Have My Money” Cover on BBC Live Lounge (Video)
Kween Kelly Clarkson is finally over in the UK (and therefore Europe) promoting “Heartbeat Song” and “Piece by Piece” and one of her first promotional stops was BBC Radio 1’s “Live Lounge” where she gladly performed an acoustic session on Friday midday (June 4).
The original American Idol and mother of one performed a powerful stripped-down version of “Heartbeat Song” (it seems Europe will have to hold a little more to get “Invincible"), and later for her mandatory cover, Kelegend chose one very unexpected track. Like literally so unexpected I had to clear my ears a few times just to be sure I was hearing what I was hearing.
What did she do then? Rihanna’s “Bitch Better Have My Money”!!!!!!!
Of course Kelly had to do a more toned-down, radio-friendly version of the song. She turned “Bitch Better Have My Money” to “Y’all Better Have My Money”.
Kelly’s vocals were out of this world good, and she was definitely the only artist capable of turning a trashy song into a great one. Loved the piano arrangement!
