Kelly Clarkson Performs For Obama!
My favorite artist ever, Kelly Clarkson, took the stage at the "America Celebrates July 4th" event at Ford's Theatre, filmed on June 6. There, Kelly performed before President of the United States, Barack Obama a cover of Nikka Costa's "Everybody Got Their Something". The first ever American Idol champ looked glammed-up in a classy gala black dress. I've never heard this song before but I find myself liking it! Kelly sang it so well. This is what we can call a PERFECT performance. I'm glad this show finally aired.
In other news, Kelly Clarkson confirmed earlier this year that she would start working on a new album, readying the pre-production, that is, looking for ideas, sounds and writing lyrics. In late June tweeted the following: "Officially recorded the first song for my 5th album today! It's so awesome and is a duet but I cant tell you who quite yet". I'm dying to hear new stuff! She's hoping for late 2010 release.
