Watch: Katy Perry Sings Fragment of Adele's 'Someone Like You' In Sheffield (UK)

Pop star Katy Perry kicked-off the second and final UK leg of her 'California Dreams Tour' this past Wednesday (October 12th) with a concert at the Motorpoint Arena in Sheffield, England - Katy will stay in UK lands until mid-November, then she'll return to the US where she'll finally put the ending point to this tour, in support of her latest album "Teenage Dream", with six final shows.

Back to the recent show in Sheffield, in a smart move - because Katy was aware that most of her 13,000 fans packing the city's arena had already watched videos from this tour on YouTube, knew the complete setlist and every other little detail of the whole 'California Dreams' spectacle - the 'Firework' star decided to bring something 'new' to the table of this second-UK-leg opening show. What she did? While performing her new single 'The One That Got Away', dressed as a candy cane, she surprised fans mashing up her song with Adele's chart-topper success "Someone Like You". She sang a fragment of Adele's power ballad and then finished the whole performance with the rest of 'The One That Got Away' lyrics.

Katy sounded half-decent, but still, she shouldn't be singing Adele songs AT ALL. Because it simply highlights Katy's vocal weakness. She's a good POP singer, with a limited register, and covering Adele is off her limits for now. Vocal lessons could help! Cuz she's def talented! But Adele tunes are untouchable, and only THE BEST should be covering her. Btw, how funny was no one in the crowd was singing along with HER song, but everyone was screaming for 'Someone Like You'? That's the power of Goddess Adele!

What U think of Katy's 'The One That Got Away/Someone Like U' mash-up?
