Katy Perry Confirms 2 New Album Songs: “Bigger Than Me” & “Swish Swish” - One’s About The Election!

Entertainment Weekly recently shared a chat with pop superstar Katy Perry and the results of said chat were published yesterday on an article on its website.

Were there ant good headlines? YES! And all related about Katy’s forthcoming fourth studio album (which rumor has it will be titled “Witness").

So:

*On the album’s theme:

Sonically, it’s fun and dance-y and dark and light. It’s all of these things. It definitely is a change .

*Whether there’ll be a clap-back song responding to Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood:

Well that’s not my question to answer — if it’s about me. I think [my new album is] a very empowered record. There is no one thing that’s calling out any one person.

*Two new song titles are unveiled:

The singer has released two singles so far from the album, “Chained to the Rhythm” and “Bon Appetit.” Perry tells EW there’s a song called “Bigger Than Me” inspired by the results of the election (Perry was a vocal Hillary Clinton supporter) and a fun dance song called “Swish Swish.”

My favorite headline out of the three above? The one where she reveals new song titles of course!!!

I just knew there was going to be a Trump/elections-related song on her new album (after supporting Hillary so much and going into SHOCKED mode when Trump won and feeling devastated). I knew Katy would get inspiration from that situation and write a song about it. And that’s “Bigger Than Me”.

As for “Swish Swish”, it sounds like a potential future single. “Fun dance song”? Gimme! I mean, for Katy to have mentioned this particular pop-oriented, radio-pleaser song to the EW reporter, it’s because there’s something special about it, don’t you think?
