Nelson Mandela, renowned freedom fighter, passed away at the age of 95 on Thursday afternoon (December 5th). Mandela, who spent 27 years in prison on charges for conspiracy to overthrow the government before becoming the president of South Africa, had been dealing with a respiratory infection for quite some time now and finally lost the battle at his home in Johannesburg, South Africa. From celebrities to President Barack Obama, many took to social media outlets to pay their respects shortly after the announcement of his death.
Nelson Mandela influenced various amounts of people all across the world and the music industry was no exception.
