Jordin Sparks Covers Demi Lovato's New Single
I hope she wasn't trying to steal Demi's thunder! Cause although Jordin's version of "Skyscraper" is very good, Demi's is simply untouchable - The 2007 American Idol winner was bored at her rotel hoom last night and decided to give fans a special something via her WhoSay account, and she found no better thing than singing a cover of Demi Lovato's new single "Skyscraper". We learn from this video that Jordin was actually the first person to have "Skyscraper", she recorded it, and even considered including the song on her new album. However, for some reason, Demi snatched the Toby Gad-produced and Kerli-penned power ballad in the end for her and made it an iTunes Top 10 hit recently.
I wonder if Toby betrayed Jordin, and/or if Demi's label had something to do with Jordin losing "Skyscraper". Because when I first heard Demi's version, I immediately thought; 'wow, this song was so meant for her, and only her', but now knowing Jordin first recorded this, it kinda ruins the moment, lol. Anyhow, the point is "Skyscraper" is stunning and both Jordin and Demi did justice with it...okay but Demi had the last laugh!
