Lead Node.js Developer (Amsterdam, full-time)

For the website Directlyrics – visited daily by over 700k music fans – we're looking for an experienced full-time lead Javascript / Node.js Developer.

The job consists of leading a small team on location to develop and launch our new music platform, part of Directlyrics. We've build and initial proof of concept #hack and already see promising user engagement. Our platform is (predominantly) Node.js and we're building out our small team to speed up our development cycle. You would be the person leading our strategy and be responsible to get new features released to the production environment. You would have lots of responsibility to make things work, but also creative freedom to define the path towards a great user product. The work needs a commitment of at least 38 hours/week, commencing as soon as possible.

Perfect Candidate

The perfect candidate for this job has Node.js expertise, loves working with Javascript and handles this and events without too much trouble. You translate functionality to a roadmap, which leads to maintable code. You are able to lead a team, enjoy working together, always willing to learn and listen, but also teach and delegate.

Junior Node.js Developer (Amsterdam, part-time)

The job consists of working together with a small team on location to develop and launch new functionality. Your work consists of developing new features and perfecting existing ones using Node.js as platform. The work needs a commitment of at least 28 hours/week for an initial period of 3 months, commencing as soon as possible.

Frontend Javascript Developer (Amsterdam, full-time)

For the website Directlyrics – visited daily by over 700k music fans – we're looking for an experienced part-time Javascript Programmer.

The job consists of working together with a small team on location to develop and launch new frontend functionality. Your work consists of implementing frontend functionality for both the website and our custom admin in short release cycles with continuous additional improvements. The work needs a commitment of at least 38 hours/week for an initial period of 3 months, commencing as soon as possible.

Perfect Candidate

The perfect candidate for this job is able to create fast rendering Javascript code and knows his way around native JavaScript, DOM, this and events. You can take notes on paper and build them into user functionality. You have attention to detail in creating a frictionless environment for the user on all major platforms. You are able to build on top of existing code, log good commit messages, and make sure there are no cross-browser issues.
