Joe McElderry & Pixie Lott Go Acoustic!
Joe McElderry released *digitally* today his new single "Ambitions" - The Donkeyboy cover is climbing fast on the UK iTunes and it's about the enter the top 10 - Joe's song currently sits at #14 and I'm sure when he performs it tonight at The X Factor it'll go straight to the top and will easily give Joe his second number-one overall in his home country. McElderry uploaded a couple days ago this acoustic intimate performance of "Ambitions" onto his Youtube page. Watch above. Aboslutely loooooving it! He's got a great voice (which shines here) and I'm liking *majorly* this version. I'd even say much better than the original electronic-influenced version. Joe's debut album "Wide Awake" hits stores on October 25th.
British singer Pixie Lott also released a new single today on iTunes. "Broken Arrow" currently holds the #17 spot on Apple's digital platform. Not that far away from Joe's single but I'm sorry Pixie, I'm convinced McElderry will prevent you from a getting a new #1 record. Ms Lott in a new promotional appearance stopped by BBC's Radio One studios in London on Saturday to perform acoustically the ballad "Broken Arrow". Wow, wow, wow. Another excellent vocal display. Absolutely loving this stripped back version! Pixie's new "Turn It Up Louder" hits shelves in the UK on October 18th.
