Jessie J - 'It's My Party' (Music Video)

Jessie J opens doors to many realities in the music video for "It's My Party", the second single from her still-untitled sophomore album, to be released probably later this year via Lava-Universal Republic. The very "Domino" reminiscing track was at first said to be produced by Calvin Harris, but I knew the Scottish King couldn't have produced such awfulness, as he later took to Twitter to deny any connection to Jessie J's "It's My Party".

On the first listen, I am sure "It's My Party" struck as a generic but okay pop, uptempo, radio friendly song, but in the end, and after much deliberation, myself and many other bloggers out there have concluded that Jessie J's new single is an utter mess, not very well produced, totally oversung, and not fresh. Watch this flop when it gets released on September 15th in the UK, and struck a critical blow to the Londoner's career.

But, as for the "It's My Party" visual, that I don' hate because it fits the song (terribly as it is), and it's fun. The video concept sees Jessie J wandering through a pink hallway opening doors to unveil rooms where parties are being held by different types of social groups; we have the punkies, the posh and the hip-hop-influenced. After partying with each group individually, they all get together for a big final celebration at the end.
