Is Normani Beyoncé´s Successor? Watch The Videos From Her First Show As Opening Act For Ariana Grande: Simply Epic

normani first concert

Normani performed her first mini-concert as opening act for Ariana Grande at the kick-off night of the "Sweetener" tour yesterday (March 18) in Albany, New York.

Usually, opening acts don't get much attention, but our girl Normani is breaking the norm and making SEVERAL headlines. Her set was so powerful, fierce and something you definitely don't expect from an artist who's only 22 years of age.

This was her official setlist:

  • Intro (Band Instrumental)
  • Checklist
  • Waves
  • One in a Million (Aaliyah cover)
  • Diamonds (Rihanna cover)
  • We Found Love (Rihanna cover)
  • Run This Town (Rihanna cover)
  • All In My Head (Flex) / He Like That / Down (Interlude)
  • Work From Home (Fifth Harmony song)
  • Worth It (Fifth Harmony song)
  • BO$$ (Fifth Harmony song)
  • Going Bad / Lose Control / I'm A Slave 4 U / Freakum Dress (Dance Break)
  • Dancing With a Stranger (Sam Smith & Normani cover)
  • Love Lies (Khalid & Normani cover)

That catsuit, the dancing, the flawless live vocals, the epic cover choices, and just her entire showmanship... Normani's set was ON FIRE. She served Beyoncé realness last night. It was like watching a Beyoncé concert DVD to be honest. "The Beyoncé Experience" DVD immediately came to mind.

I wouldn't be surprised if there are concert-goers from last night's Albany show who will remember Normani's set more than Ariana's because of the impact it had on their minds and souls. It was that amazing.
